On Saturday, the Yunus Emre Turkish Institute will organize an event entitled “Turkey Days” in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo.
The two-day event will be held in the municipal park “Novi Grad” in Sarajevo and will be attended by a large number of people.
The event includes providing Turkish dishes and sweets to visitors and organizing recreational activities for children.
In a statement to Anadolu Agency, on Saturday, the director of the institute, Muhammad Akif Yaman, said that they are organizing the “Turkey Days” event as part of the Children’s Festival.
He pointed out that they brought ice cream from Kahramanmaraş and baklava from Gaziantep, the two states that are famous for their industry.
“We have prepared a booklet in Bosnian on how to prepare Turkish food and we are also distributing it to the participants. We are trying to create cultural interaction,” he said.
He explained that the event includes various recreational activities such as flying kites, tug-of-war and others.
He indicated that the event, which gives them the opportunity to promote Turkish culture, is very popular.
As part of the event, cinematic screenings and concerts will also be held
